Farrington Park is a Privately owned, successful Golf Club set amongst beautiful rolling hills of the Mendips. We are currently looking to employ a Wedding and Events Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the event planning and management of weddings, funerals, party nights, business meetings and events that Farrington Park run throughout the year successfully leading the front of house team during each event.
The role requires a high level of personal organisation and attention to detail, and the ability to quickly gain the confidence and respect of both the client and the team. You will work well under pressure to ensure the smooth and efficient operational running of each event, whilst also ensuring that this is backed up by accurate planning and administration in all areas. This is a hands on role and will require the successful candidate to lead by example, hours will include weekends and evenings.
You will work closely with the General Manager, Bar Manager and Head Chef, whilst managing a small team to help support you with the successful implementation of weddings and events throughout the calendar year.
The ideal candidate will have the following –
Experience of working in the Hospitality Industry – ideally with experience of handling events
Genuine enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail, an appreciation of quality the ability to work calmly under pressure
An excellent communicator
Ability to work on their own initiative coupled with a positive, can-do attitude & a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the needs of the business
Salary will be dependent on experience
